**Job Summary** The AMR Technician is accountable for the successful installation of the various AMR products. Thorough site and meter audits and network planning are required to ensure usable data is received in the Employer’s database for analyses and viewing purposes. The AMR Technician manages the AMR technician assistant/s and liaises with the technical supervisor and/or Regional Controller (water and electricity) on any installation matters arising on site. The AMR Technician will also work closely with the IT & AMR Support Supervisor during installation and at maintenance.
**Job duties includes**: The job description for the AMR Technician is outlined below, but not limited to:

- Liaise with and report to the Chief Operations Officer which is accountable for all installations;
- AMR Audits, installations and maintenance:

- Audit all meters per site for compatibility, installation method/s, positioning, read switch type and network planning;
- Once audit is completed plan installation and ensure all stock is available. Schedule installation with site contact and IT & AMR Support Supervisor;
- Once installation is complete ensure the IT & AMR Support Supervisor is contacted to ensure communication is established between all the devices and all meter interface units (MIU’s) are tracking (physical meter reading is the same as on the system);
- All relevant documentations (job cards, maintenance cards) are completed, installation photos taken, and information loaded under the relevant folders on the public drive;
- Ensure all work areas are cleaned and neat after installation/s;
- Constantly liaise with the site contact to ensure he/she is fully aware of your work progress.
- Determine a weekly maintenance programme with the IT & AMR Support Supervisor to ensure down time of AMR equipment is kept to a minimum.
- Attendance of meetings with the Clients and/or other contractors to the Client/s, as and when required.
- Assist with water and/or energy audits of facilities where required (most often for commercial clients);
- Assist with manual meter readings where required;
- Fulfil the following appointed H&S roles for a given number of facilities/ projects:

- Construction Manager [CR 8(71);
- Risk Assessor [CR 9(1)];
- Excavation Supervisor [CR 13(1)(a)]; Serve as Quality Lead to effectively and continuously improve the performance and the level of maturity across all functions and locations of the mentioned organization.
- Portable Electric Tool Inspector [EMR 9(4)];
- Fire Equipment Inspector [CR 29(g)(h)];
- Emergency Coordinator [EMR 9];
- Certified First Aider [GSR 3(4)(5)].
- Manage a team that includes an AMR Assistant and set a good leadership example;
- Attend company functions, workshops and training as and when required.

The Job Description is not strictly limited to the above and may include scope and tasks as discussed and agreed to be reasonable with line management.
**Company Organogram**: The AMR Technician works closely with the IT & AMR Support Supervisor and reports to the RealSens Manager (COO) who takes accountability, who in turn reports to the Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Executive Officer.
**Technical Skills Requirements**:

- Assessment, Implementation and Management of AMR equipment;
- Auditing of metering devices for the purpose of AMR compatibility;
- Have basic knowledge of electrical supply (Domestic - 220V Single Phase)
- Excellent understanding of electronic fault finding;
- Excellent understanding of AMR and metering equipment and AMR networks.

**General Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills in English;
- Driver’s license and driving experience;
- Based in East London;
- Meticulous recording of information, filing and paperwork;
- Must be self-driven and highly motivated to achieve results and continuously improve skills and learning;
