Requirements
- 2-3 years experience leading a team (essential)
- 5-8 years experience as a Developer or equivalent (essential)
- Financial services industry experience (desirable)

- Knowledge and experience in various software development technologies and concepts.
- Knowledge of solutions architecture and/or enterprise architecture.
- Knowledge of data integration and warehousing tools.
Duties & Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESSES
- Identify and prioritise IT projects, contributing to the creation of business cases, indicating business benefit, cost and high-level metrics to ensure business delivery.
- Contribute to the development of strategic IT plans to enable the business to reach their goals and strategy.
- Manage third-party relationships with vendors and relevant account managers to ensure all IT services are monitored, reported on and conform to appropriate standards and service level agreements.
- Ensure IT in-house systems and infrastructure are secure, maintained and adequately resourced in line with business expectations.
- Maintain IT systems and processes to ensure effective day to day running of systems and mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure IT standards, policies and procedures are developed, communicated and adhered to, in line with organisational policy.
- Develop, maintain and implement an Architecture roadmap that aligns to the businesss needs and complies with organisational policy.
- Define and implement IT Service Management based on ITIL guidelines in order to ensure optimal delivery. Work with Developer Team Leaders to deliver quality, effective software, in line with agreed development processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct analysis and prioritise requests and translate business requirements into workable solutions.
- Collaborate with Development Team Leaders to translate requirements into technical specifications in accordance with business needs.
- Ensure the design and development of new software functionality uses code that is readable, maintainable and re-usable.
- Ensure code is delivered into the applicable production environment.
- Provide stakeholders with regular feedback on the technical design and timelines for solution.
- Ensure maintenance of existing programmes according to change requests approved by business.
- Assist with root cause analysis of systems issues using problem-solving skills.
- Monitor performance of solutions and make recommendations to improve the performance and functionality of the solution.
- Ensure issues found in existing systems are logged as internal change controls and ensure successful resolution of issues.
