**Our opportunity**

Banking administrator responsible for various banking related functions as noted below.

**Key Tasks & Accountabilities**

Functional Management

**Effective and accurate processing and payment of non-operational expense invoices**
- Ensure accurate processing, i.e. correct allocation of payments to correct cost Centre through adherence to internal processes.
- Ensure cheque requisitions are accurately completed, approved by cost Centre manager, and accompanied with all supporting documentation, i.e. approved supplier statement and/or approved (signed-off) invoice and proof of banking details.
- For large payments, ensure approval by a senior manager.
- Ensure timeous loading of approved payments on the FNB portal.
- Import payments onto SAP system on a daily basis and process the SM35 statement to various GL accounts.
- Ensure accurate vat processing for tax invoices vs. non-VAT vendors.
- Escalate all system issues (SAP / TIA system) to manager.
- Loading of funding requirements (investments, RI payments and other bank transfers and payments
- Loading of all Bryte Insurance funding requirements for approval in line with approved instructions (Investments, RI payments, salaries funding, once-off payments, etc) and posting of journals
- Processing of journals for Bryte Life
- Manage AP rejections by advising the AP team.
- TIA Receipts Allocations
- Capture and allocate premium and claims recoveries received to various debtor’s accounts according to reference detail received from the credit control team.
- Capturing and allocation of receipts to be done regularly and timeously (with the bulk allocation period being between the 15th to cut-off date of each month)

- Escalate and resolve claims recovery rejections with the claims specialist responsible for loading the payments.

- Escalate and resolve claims recovery rejections with the claims specialist responsible for loading the payments.
- Investigate and resolve internal queries received from the various stakeholders (credit control team, claims department and underwriting teams)

**Preparation of bank reconciliations / Clearing accounts**
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis within the timeline period (7th working day post close-off)
- Identify all reconciling items, investigate, follow up on long outstanding items and clear items (items in GL not on bank statement / Items on bank statement not in GL)
- Processing of manual journal entries, i.e. bank charges, interest received and cash movements.
- Investigate and follow up on transactions posted to the TIA clearing account.
- Liaise with the bank regarding transaction queries.
- Match and clear EFT in / EFT out accounts on a regular basis to ensure no long outstanding reconciling items.

**Stakeholder Support**
- Respond and action queries received from the Finance senior management team.
- Query resolution from internal stakeholders - Queries to be actioned and resolved timeously (brokers, credit control, claims team and other internal stakeholders
- Assist with system enhancement testing (TIA related interfaces)

**Qualification & Experience**
- Finance degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in banking administration
