**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operational Excellence:_
- Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all areas of the hotel, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and facilities management.
- Monitor operational performance and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Take proactive measures to address any operational challenges and maintain the hotel's reputation for excellence.
- Guest Experience Enhancement:_
- Uphold the hotel's commitment to providing personalised and memorable experiences for each guest.
- Engage with guests to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring their expectations are exceeded throughout their stay.
- Implement creative initiatives and special touches to enhance guest experience and cultivate loyalty.
- Team Leadership and Development:_
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to department managers and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, training programs, and performance evaluations to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Promote a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork among all staff members.
- Financial Management:_
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost control.
- Monitor financial metrics and key performance indicators to track progress towards financial goals and make data-driven decisions to optimise profitability.
- Implement strategies to maximise revenue streams while maintaining commitment to quality and luxury.
- Brand Representation and Community Engagement:_
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Kloof Street Hotel and Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges, upholding our values and standards in all interactions.
- Build relationships with local businesses, organisations, and community members to enhance the hotel's presence and support strategic partnerships.
- Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and promotional activities to raise awareness and drive business growth.
- Qualifications & Requirements:_
- Qualifications in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Exceptional guest service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Solid understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support operational requirements.
- Ability to self commute to Kloof Street, Cape Town.
