A GoldenRule Client - Renowned in the Health and Insurance space is searching for a Product Design Lead to join and lead their Digital team.
- 5+ years of product design experience with 1-2 years of experience managing people.
- You thrive in ambiguous environments and bring clarity to teams through mastery of the design process.
- Ability to facilitate design workshops with diverse product and functional teams.
- Desire to learn, grow and teach skills to further your abilities and the abilities of your team.
- Confidence to think about high-level product vision, understand constraints, and contribute to a fantastic user experience.
- Solid understanding of the design thinking process, as well as a passion and know-how for influencing design strategy.
- Expert knowledge of Sketch and InVision or similar design and prototyping tools.
- Have the ability to think big-picture about the high-level user flows, but be a perfectionist about the details of the UI.
- Experience partnering with user researchers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to independently seek out feedback and buy-in from the right people at the company in order to keep a project moving and get approvals.
- A solid and up-to-date understanding of best practices, developments, and trends in web, iOS, and Android.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- A great attitude, collaborative spirit, and openness to giving and receiving feedback.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Lead the design of high-quality products that provide measurable value to our clients and end users.
- Work closely with product, engineering, research, and other functional areas to help shape the product strategy and vision.
- Own and drive the entire design process from early ideation of design concepts to detailed deliverables and production assets.
- Advise and help guide user research studies.
- Help develop and evolve our design system, Atlas, to be used across platforms.
- Evangelize user-centered thinking and the value of design across the organization.
- Take ownership and quality check the deliverables of the design team to ensure the outputs meet the project requirements.
- Look into ways to continuously improve the design process and daily team interactions to add to the overall quality output of every job delivered by the design team.
- Coordinate design efforts across multiple workstreams.
- Mentor, train and coach product designers to become high performers in the team.
- Build strong relationships and help the team collaborate across the organization.
- Contribute to other initiatives for the team.
- Manage and coordinate schedules, task timelines and team resources
