To co-ordinate, manage and advise the Business on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety, Environmental Matters and Facility Safety and Security

To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health & Safety and Environmental.

**Health and Safety**:

- Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
- Preserve the good condition of infrastructure and ensure facilities are safe and well-functioning
- Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Co-ordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
- Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
- Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
- Establish a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.
- Liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of training programmes and health and safety services.
- Ensure full and accurate health and safety training records are maintained.
- Manage and devise the agenda for, chair and formulate & distribute minutes for the Health & Safety Committee meetings.
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
- Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.
- Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Manage all contractors on site by ensuring that Contractor Safety Files are up to date and relevant to the job required.
- Inspect Health and Safety standards of contractors and ensure working conditions are safe
- Provide regular reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.
- Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
- Developing safe operational strategies and solution to minimize workplace incidence.
- Coordinating general workplace operations to ensure compliance safety standards.
- Provide company staff with useful safety information by means of clear language.

**Facility Security Coordination**:

- Co-ordinate the development of Facility Security rules and procedures.
- Ensure that all Facility Security procedures and rules are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Establish a full programme of documented Security inspections, audits and checks.
- Inspect perimeter of facilities to ensure all fencing and access points are in good condition and maintained.
- Manage Facility Alarm Systems
- Conduct regular facility access point inspections
- Coordinate parking space allocation
- **Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, engineering, safety management, or in a related discipline. Certification from recognized occupational health and safety body is also necessary for the position

- OHS Certificate
- Incident / Accident Investigation Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Fire Marshall & Evacuation Warden Certificate
- Fire Fighting Certificate
