- South Africa Chocolates is a priority category for Mondelez International, so we need to have a strong plan that helps us grow market share and grow the category for the long term.
- In this role, you get to reimagine snacking for the South African consumer. Working with cross-functional teams in the Business Unit, Global and Regional teams, you support portfolio strategy that aligns with the category vision to drive sustainable brand growth and to deliver business objectives.
- You lead profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives.
- You also work with external agency partners to land the marketing campaigns and have strong consumer plans that inspire the full organization.
- Mondelez International has iconic chocolate brands like Cadbury Dairy Milk and Lunch Bar that have created meaningful connections with the South African consumers over the years.

**How you will contribute**
- Working with other internal stakeholders, you will determine the priorities to enable consumer-centric brand portfolio growth.
- You will develop annual plans, setting objectives and allocating resources.
- In addition, you will offer recommendations for integrated commercial plans execute category marketing plans that deliver on revenue and profit forecasts, sharing objectives and monitoring performance, and delivering results over the Annual Contract and for the longer-term horizon (Strategic Plan for next 3 years, Vision 2030).
- Based on your deep consumer insights and brand positioning, you will develop and implement integrated marketing communications and 360-degree campaigns.
- You will work closely through your teams with the other functions to deliver plans which help us win in the market and grow the category

- Ability to create impactful Comsumer-facing work, especially leveraging digital technology.
- Managing business objectives beyond brand and budget

- Leading and influencing teams and managing trade-offs in a high matrix environment.
- Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, and executive presentation skills.
- Markets with diverse economic environments a distinct advantage

**What you need to know about this position**:

- The Chocolate Category Lead
- South Africa is a pivotal role for the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Business Unit.
- The person doing this role sits in the Leadership Team for the SSA Marketing Function and the Leadership Council for the full SSA BU.
- This is one of the most critical roles in the BU with a great opportunity to inspire the full organization and take Marketing to the next level in SSA.

**Education / Certifications**:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, or related field. Postgraduate or MBA advantageous.

**Travel requirements**:
Base will be the Head office in Johannesburg. Travel plans are variable per business need.
