- Reports to: General Manufacturing Supervisor- General Description:
- Labourers perform general duties in the factory. Duties include operating basic hand tools, and assisting machine operators, artisans, and foreman. Housekeeping and material handling are also components of this position.- Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform welding duties using stick welding, gas welding, arc welding.- Weld steel structures with welding equipment as specified by procedures.- Must be able to work with equipment such as lifting equipment, slings, grinders, cutting torches, and any other tools required to perform the duties.- Must be able to perform any maintenance on the equipment to perform duties.- Must be able to understand and follow job specifications and work instructions.- Maintain all machinery in accordance to required machine specifications.- Monthly machine checklist to be done.- Must be able to perform general maintenance on and around the building.- Maintain level of work performance in accordance with KPI standards and job descriptions.- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with work procedures, rules, and standards.- Perform other work duties where required.- Productivity - follow formal/written and informal/verbal instructions and procedures as the above processes may change.- Ensure that Good housekeeping practices are followed.- Health and Safety - wear the protective gear issued to you while you are working.- Follow any lawful instruction requested by management.- International commissioning and field service - as required for commissioning and on-site work.- Ensure materials needed for jobs and projects are kept safe.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Qualification:
- Minimum Std. 8- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.- Do all work according to the OHS Act and regulations.- Determine the tools and equipment needed to complete a job.- Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills.- Good attention to detail.- Must be capable of displaying a high level of business initiative**What Qualification**
