- Monthly Cost To Company (Market related, Negotiable)- A well-established company and supplier of laboratory and bioprocessing equipment requires the above to be accountable for managing key accounts and developing new business within the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape regions.

**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- A life sciences or related qualification with relevant experience having worked within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical or related industry is essential for this role.
- Must have good communication and negotiation skills.
- Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams.
- Must be computer literate.
- Previous experience working in a key account or related role having sold laboratory instrumentation into the life sciences industry is essential.
- Promoting and selling specialised laboratory and bioprocessing equipment into key accounts within the KZN and Eastern Cape areas.
- Assessing and analysing customer needs, responding to customer enquiries and suggesting products and services as appropriate.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
- Managing and building strong customer relationships with key accounts.
- Promoting and providing training on company products in both private and state business.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets by utilising opportunities whilst minimising risks and the competition’s activities in the life sciences market.
- Conducting customer site visits in order to achieve the objectives set within the territory.
- Ensuring that sales activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as the company’s policies.
- Implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are met or exceeded.
- Managing, liaising and delivering on technical queries with regard to existing and new products for customers.
- Monitoring market developments to identify and assess potential new customers and opportunities.
