We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Key Accounts Specialist to join our dynamic team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, specifically focusing on the Personal Care, Health and Baby sector. This pivotal role requires a professional with a proven track record in cultivating strong relationships with buyers and category managers within the retail sector. As a Key Account Specialist, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, maximizing sales opportunities, and contributing to the success of our products.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Key Account Management**: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key retail clients, including buyers and category managers, to understand their needs and preferences.

**Sales and Negotiation**: Execute sales strategies and negotiate favourable terms, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and profitability goals. Leverage your experience to secure advantageous agreements that benefit both our company and retail partners.

**Financial Understanding**: Utilize your financial acumen to analyse and interpret sales data, pricing structures, and profit margins. Make informed decisions to optimize revenue and profitability within your assigned accounts.

**Marketing Collaboration**: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute tailored marketing strategies and promotional campaigns that drive product visibility and consumer engagement.

**Product Listings**: Manage product listings within assigned accounts, including new product introductions, updates, and discontinuations. Ensure compliance with retailer-specific listing requirements.

**Product Launches**: Lead the successful launch of new products within your accounts. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product introductions, from production to promotion.

**Promotional Grids**: Develop and implement promotional grids that align with retail partners' objectives and our brand's marketing calendar. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions.

**Pricing Strategy**: Formulate and execute pricing strategies that balance competitive positioning and profitability while considering market dynamics and consumer demand.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
**Experience**: A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in key account sales within the FMCG industry, with a strong focus on Personal Care, Health and Baby (FMCG). Dealing with FMCG Retailers within South Africa.

**Negotiation Skills**: Proven ability to negotiate effectively with retail buyers and category managers, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

**Financial Acumen**: Solid understanding of financial principles, including profit margins, pricing strategies, and sales data analysis.

**Marketing Knowledge**: Familiarity with marketing concepts and the ability to collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective campaigns.

**Listing Expertise**: Experience managing product listings and knowledge of retailer-specific listing requirements.

**Product Launch Experience**: Demonstrated success in coordinating product launches, from planning to execution.

**Promotional Grid Proficiency**: Skill in creating and managing promotional grids to drive sales and consumer engagement.

**Pricing Strategy**: Strong grasp of pricing strategies and the ability to adapt to market conditions and competitive landscapes.

**Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills to engage effectively with retail partners.

**Problem Solver**: Ability to identify challenges and proactively seek solutions to address them.

**Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to changing market trends and consumer preferences.

**Qualifications**:Bachelor's Degree, preferred in business, marketing, or a related field. Or commensurate experience minimum 4 to 5 years as a Key Account Specialist in the FMCG industry.

**Travel**: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Must have your own vehicle and driver's license and must have contactable references.

**Salary**

Will be commensurate with experience, abilities and qualifications.

**Must have light motor vehicle license and have own vehicle.**

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month
