- To analyse; interpret; collate and present financial and non-financial information in order to drive strategy; enable decision making and support Nedbank Business Units; as per the business strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and maintain data sources and reports for the finance team to enable accurate, complete and useful information to aid decision making in the Nedbank Insurance business.
- Prepare financial, non-financial and adhoc reports to various stakeholders on monthly basis by gathering information from various sources and analyse and interpret the data
- Identify new avenues of reporting to assist the finance team and the business, and to build and implement such reporting.
- Maintain and update data sources, eg the Product Profitability, and to distribute information timeously to stakeholders
- Align reporting information to business changes by verifying and updating structural changes.
- Ensure that reporting deadlines are met by adhering to set deadlines..
- Provide formal commentary and interpretation on financial information to stakeholders through variance analysis.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systems.
- Prepare the commentary and numbers for the quarterly Risk and Audit Committee Pack, for Financial Manager review.
- Prepare journals, reconcilations and invoices where required.
- Prepare monthly finance pack slides and ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters, websites and attending sessions.
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
- Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
- Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing with the team.
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives by engaging in staff surveys etc.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Diploma
- Preferred Qualification- Bachelor of Commerce: Honours - Accounting
- Minimum Experience Level- 3-5 years' experience in Accounting and Financial Management, with 1-2 years' experience in financial services

**Type of Exposure**
- Preparation of internal financial reporting such as monthly reporting, board reporting and quarterly and annual returns reporting.
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Building reports for internal reporting
- Familiar and adept with MS Office, in particular excel, Powerpoint and MS Teams.
- Checking accuracy of reports and reconciliations.
- Analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
- Working with a group to identify alternative solutions to a problem.
- Sharing information in different ways to increase internal stakeholders understanding.
- Tracking costs against a budget
