If your answer is yes, you're an ideal fit for the role of Administrative Assistant. Our client, located in Newlands, is in search of a seasoned Admin Assistant to support the Strategic Communications team and Executive in a variety of responsibilities.

**Please note: This is a part-time position, covering half of the day.**

**_ Your responsibilities will include:_**
- Provide an efficient, confidential and professional administrative and secretarial service for the
communications team.
- Organise relevant meetings and workshops including venue notification, drafting agendas and
recording accurate minutes and catering.
- Assist in the organisation of events, including sending out invitations, monitoring responses,
reservation of venues and catering.
- Manage travel arrangements for the Executive Manager and the unit including flight reservations
(domestic and international), car hire, shuttles accommodation, preparation of itineraries,
scheduling of appointments.
- Process invoices timeously and assist in maintaining the unit’s budget.
- Coordinate and maintain the Executive Manager: Strategic Communications’ diary alert to
upcoming appointments.

- Maintain records and effective electronic and manual filing systems.
- Maintain the Communication unit’s database
- Obtain quotes, process orders and liaise with service providers.
- Maintain confidentiality of information both from internal and external sources.

**_Requirements:_**
- Professional individual with a positive can-do attitude
- Minimum 5 years administrative experience including financial administration experience.
- Related qualification
- Excellent verbal & written English communication skills.
- Computer literate: MS Office (Excel advanced level)
- Good organization and planning skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail.
- Project management and customer relationship management experience
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and to multi-task.
- Deadline oriented and problem-solving skills
