The Global Medical Information, Associate Director exhibits expertise and leadership in three core functions within GMI: Medical Information, Medical / Scientific Review, and Medical Education and Training of internal stakeholders. In addition to the 3 core function, the GMI, AD will drive digital innovation in interacting with our customers, both internally and externally of our Company. The GMI Specialist will be part of the Global Medical Customer Interface (GMCI) organization and will report into the Global Medical Customer Interface Director.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Customize responses to U.S. healthcare provider (HCP) inquiries, in writing or verbally.
- Respond to global inquiries that are escalated due to their complexity.
- Verbally answer unsolicited inquiries from HCPs while staffing congress Medical Information booths.
- Generate insights from Medical Information capabilities to inform strategy.
- Make decisions, within guidelines and policies, on a range of routine customer, operational, and project activities.
- Review and approve promotional materials from internal and external stakeholders to ensure content is relevant, scientifically accurate, and consistent with company values and standards.
- Create and develop medical and disease education materials.
- Create or adapt foundational materials to use in disease and product scientific lectures to train internal stakeholders.
- Participate in training of internal stakeholders on promotional review standards and processes.
- Participate and/or lead medical reviewer certification training.

**Education Minimum Requirements**:

- Doctorate degree and two years of Medical Information or other relevant experience OR
- MS degree in Life Sciences and three years Medical Information or other relevant experience.

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- Possess a deep understanding of own therapeutic area (TA), including product knowledge, disease state management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape.
- Help identify medical information gaps from received inquiries and provide insights to the Global Medical Content Team.
- Participate in GMI initiatives addressing process improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead projects impacting the franchise/brand strategy to meet customer needs.
- Be the key GMI resource for colleagues across departments and functions.
- Mentor GMI personnel to develop within their roles.
- Partner with GMI colleagues and other key stakeholders to ensure assets are available with the appropriate content to meet the needs of external and internal stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of specified TA.
- Demonstrated leadership skills related to mentoring, process improvements, and innovation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work across multiple technical platforms and acquire facility with new technological advances as needed.

**Preferred Experience and Skills**:

- Negotiation skills for interaction with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
