Ensuring that all food safety procedures are followed during preparations and cooking operations.
- Supervising kitchen staff members and making sure they are in assigned working stations
- Make sure all sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station are prepped and full
- Serve menu items compliant with established company standard.
- Ensure cleanliness of the entire restaurant at all time
- Ordering food supplies
- Managing scheduling shifts.
- Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparations and checking labels for dates.
- Providing guidance to other kitchen staff regarding preparation to ensure that it meets standards for taste, appearance and smell.
- Communicating with other staff members regarding special meal request from customers.
- Monitoring inventory levels of food supplies and ordering new items when necessary.
- Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service delivery through food preparation.
- Prepare a variety of foods including but not limited to meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items.
- Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station.
- Notify restaurant manager in advance of likely shortages.
- Serve menu items compliant with established company standard.
- Use all equipment and resources as per training and/ or management instructions to avoid damages and injuries.
- Maintain a prepared, clean and sanitary work area during and between shifts.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and always be presentable in full clean uniform’
- Keep the work area fresh all through the shift.
- Make sure all storage areas are clean and all products are stored appropriately.
- Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.
- Assist with all duties as assigned.
- Sharpen knives and scrapes once a month.
- Keeping all utensils clean, inspect wash and clean dishes.
- Assign working stations and manage
- Calling out new orders out loud when new orders come in on the screen
- Calling out orders or ring bells whenever an order is completed
- Making sure the trash is emptied and taken out of the restaurant.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff members

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R6,000.00 - R7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)
