**_ Position Purpose:_**

To lead a regional new business development and investment promotion strategy as an integrated system of ports within

transport logistics network, in association with our key economic partners and stakeholders in respect of trade facilitation and

attracting new business and investment. To identify and define and implement action required to bring such new business

and investment opportunities to fruition

**_ Position outputs:_**

New Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities, identify of opportunities within new and existing business operations and the expansion

of current revenue streams.
- Port Investment Promotion
- Implement a TNPA Port Investment Promotion Regional Strategy.

Section 56 Process
- Co-ordination of the Section 56 Process.

Port Markerting
- Position the ports in the Region/Province in line with the Marketing Plan as a complementary system of ports with

specialisation characteristics.
- Customer Engagement
- Pro-actively engage potential customers and markets to secure new business for TNPA.

Business Analysis
- Conducting of viability / feasibility studies for new business opportunities.

Budgeting And Forecasting
- Consolidate New Business Development and Investment Promotion revenue budgets from key revenue drivers.
- Compile and manage Regional Marketing Capex and Opex budgets.

Planning
- Define projects, set milestones and implementation timeframes.

Strategy Development And Implementation
- Develop and Implement New Business Development Regional Strategy.

Reporting And Information Management
- Monthly reporting regarding all commercial systems related issues.

Audit
- Resolving all audit queries/findings and implement internal controls / improvements of the regional new business

development and investment promotion function.
- Research And Development
- Be informed about markets and industries locally and globally.

Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal and external regional stakeholders

Governance
- Responsible for the submission and recommendation of new business development and investment promotion proposals in

terms of governance protocol in place.
- Compliance And Risk Management
- Ensure compliance to National Ports Act, TNPA Lease Manual, Guidelines for Agreements, Licenses and Permits and the

Port Rules.
- Human Resources
- To identify training requirements for all staff as well as mentor and train all staff on new business development and

investment promotion issues.
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**

M+3 degree: Marketing and Business Strategy Qualification or B Comm or Project Management
8 years proven marketing and business development track record displaying strong strategic and leadership abilities.
