Medical Marketing Coordinator

**MEDICAL MARKETING COORDINATOR**

A well established Pharmaceutical Company based in Kempton Park requires the services of someone to fill the following position:
**This is a hybrid position, requiring the following**:
1. To detail, educate and coordinate sales of its products to Medical Specialists within Hospitals, namely ENT's and Paediatricians, to ensure items prescribed are actually dispensed, to coordinate education of hospital staff such as nurses and pharmacists and allied healthcare personal.

2. To plan, organise together with the marketing team and attend medical doctor and hospital events and other healthcare events

We expect approximately 3 days at head office (Kempton Park) and two days per week in the field (Pretoria).

The successful applicant must take careful note of the areas where they will work. A claimable fuel allowance is added to the monthly salary.

This is a holistic approach to Medical product sales within the hospital environment.

This position also requires attending medical congresses, journal clubs etc. for specialists and GP's.

Furthermore, travel will be required on a regular basis with members of this team to other cities within South Africa.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Manage and maintain excellent relationships with Medical Doctors and Health Care Professionals
- Implementation of agreed marketing and sales activities
- To detail and advise healthcare professionals
- Meet customer coverage, call rates and activity objectives
- Diligent use of Repwise reporting system
- Effective territory expense management and control
- Attend IPA's. Journal Clubs and other marketing opportunities, sometimes after hours and occasionally on weekends.
- Travel to major centre's approximately every two to three months for one week at a time
- Plan, arrange, coordinate and attend healthcare professional events.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Matric
- Computer literacy: MS Office (proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook)
- A valid driver’s license
- Be able to manage your own territory, without constant supervision
- Be able to convince Health Care Professionals about the benefits of using our products
- Sound technical knowledge and insight
- Attention to detail & Selling skills
- Problem solving & decision-making skills
- Knowledge of trends and competitor activities
- Ability to think on one’s feet, and not to rely on parrot type detailing
- Knowledge of the area is very important
- Ability to plan and work independently
- Ability to use Repwise is an advantage

**Required experience**
- Medical Doctor Detailer or other Healthcare Professional Sales Experience: 1 to 2 years Minimum, plus Marketing Event Planning.

**Other Requirements**
- Must reside in Pretoria or surrounds or be willing to travel there for detailing purposes. When not detailing the head office is in Chloorkop, Kempton Park.
- Own Reliable Insured Motor Vehicle
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans to be able to detail healthcare professionals in either language

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
