**Job Description**:

- As a Section Manager - ER - Amandelbult Complex you will be responsible to ensure that the ER governance is in place and performs seamlessly across an operation. This role forms an integral part of the Operations HR Management team, with the responsibility of ensuring the effectiveness of the human resources relations in the operations,

The role must also aim to proactively optimise relationships within and around the operations to minimise conflict situations that lead to IR action.

**Your responsibilities will include the following**:

- Identify ER projects aligned to Operations strategy.
- Develop ER plans to support the Operations HR plan.
- Support the formation of business proposals for ER projects in the operations.
- Analyse Operations ER trends and take appropriate action.
- Liaison with Operations HR team to solve problems that impact on the ER.
- Co-ordinate required legal and expert advice regarding ER issues for the operations.
- Monitor and advise BU management on IR/ER climate and its implications.
- Advise Operations Team on the implications of ER legislation and policies for work practices and systems in the operations and advise on appropriate changes.
- Ensure that training courses satisfy ER needs.
- Protecting the Operations from the risk of Production Areas taking short-term ER initiatives to the detriment of longer-term plans
- Manage ER employees in the operations.
- Compile accurate reports for ER issues.
- Ensure that the required ER systems and procedures are aligned to the operations uniqueness.
- Ensure that ER systems conform to Anglo Platinum policies.
- Visible ownership of Operations ER change initiatives
- Identify ER risks and threats to the operations proactively.

**This role is in the Human Resource Operations Department at a Band 6 level, reporting to the Senior HR Manager Operations.**

**Qualifications
- You will need the following.**
- NQF 7 bachelor’s degree/Advanced or Higher National Diploma in Human Resource management or Employee relations.
- Additional qualifications in Labour Law will be advantageous.

**Knowledge, Skills experience required**:

- At least eight years Employee Relations Management experience, of which five years in a Middle Management position and at least three year in the mining environment.
- In addition, this role requires someone who is versatile, agile and possesses the ability to manage a diverse and unionised environment and employee relations team across the entire complex consisting of multiple operations and different union structures.
