We are in search of a highly passionate, energetic, uniquely talented and polished individual who would be responsible for daily duties, wine tastings, presentations, brand promotion and wine sales.
- Management of day-to-day operations of tasting room
- Ensure adherence to high standard of customer service
- Wine tastings & sales
- Ensure tidiness and maintenance of tasting room
- Handling customer queries and complaints
- Stock management and administration
- Distribution administration

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-5 year’s previous experience in a similar role within an elite / upmarket wine tasting centre
- Enthusiasm for wine and the desire to expand knowledge thereof
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Cape Wine Academy / WSET / Marketing / Sales / Hospitality
- Excellent wine knowledge and experienced / well-developed nose & palate
- A professional, responsible, friendly and well-groomed personality who acts as a brand ambassador
- Shows utmost attention to detail / observes the finer things in terms of client service
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
- Ability to work and solve problems independently
- Detail orientated
- Adaptable
- Computer literate with very strong administration skills
- Willingness to work on holidays and during weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) in accordance with a rotation schedule
- Bubbly, outgoing and confident personality
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural sales person
- Own Transport & valid driver's license essential
- Proficient in stock controls, stock management, daily cash-ups etc
- A prominent team player who values being part of a professional high-calibre team of professionals

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**General**:

- Establishing close and effective working relations with guests including tour operators
- Maintain and improve the high quality of service to ensure guests receive 5-star experiences
- Assuming responsibility for the Tasting Room & Deli overall operations and their efficiency
- Responsible for meeting Tasting Room & Deli sales goals set by management.
- Develop innovative ideas to ensure continuation of Tasting Room & Deli growth
- Process all daily sales including daily commissions and shipping orders
- Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers and accounting for daily sales. Ensure that cash accounting is correct and complete at the end of the business day.
- Responsible for scheduling (in the Tasting Room & Deli and on Dineplan) and managing all wine tasting and private bookings for the Tasting Room & Deli
- Responsible for staff schedule and training for wine events and functions
- Responsible for the organisation and execution of wine events and special promotions as requested
- Handle all guest experience issues in a courteous and respectful manner
- To learn and uphold the principles and goals of Lanzerac
- Maintain winery image to reinforce the high standards of the brand
- Ability to work most weekends and some holidays
- Bi-weekly stock takes
- Commission documentation
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned by management.
