The Stock Controller’s responsibilities include system management, daily stock counting and reporting thereon and the temperature of stored stock.

Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to)
Critical Success Factors
Ensure stock meet the required specific health and quality standards.
That stock expiry date is within the range set for a specific product/item.
Ensure that the Truck Delivery Temperature comply too the lay-down specification. (Frozen Stock;
- 10˚C to - 20˚C and Chilled Stock; -1˚C to + 5˚C)
Ensure stock is handled with due care and no damage occur in the handling and transport process.
Ensure stock is placed in storage before the minimum critical temperature is exceeded. (Frozen Stock;
- 10˚C to - 20˚C and Chilled Stock; -1˚C to + 5˚C)
Ensure correctness in the counting and recording, as per the procedure, and that all documentation is neatly completed and that stock is reconciled and confirmed with the invoice and signed off by both parties.

System Maintenance
Maintenance - New codes, IQ maintenance for Company & branches
Scale maintenance and price update for Company
Daily reports on IQ and Qlik
Warehousing software assistance
Assist with stock takes

Reporting
Daily stock count and stock holding report
Stock Transfer - Report daily
Daily administration to be handed in to Branch Manager
Administration of Inter Branch Transfers

Team Supervision
Be knowledgeable and conversant in all tasks of Dispatch division to enable you to train and supervise your team
Ensure all team members are trained, knowledgeable and conversant in the tasks they are allocated
Supervise and Manage the daily effectiveness of the team reporting to you

Teamwork
Support department managers and co employees.
Actively participate as a member of the team
Performing any other task, not specified herein, which from time to time may be assigned by the manager.

Housekeeping and Safety Standards
Ensures that cleaning and housekeeping standards on equipment and work areas are maintained according to laid down standards and norms
Ensure Personal hygiene standards are maintained
Take reasonable care for own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others
Wear the correct PPE in accordance with the company policy and procedures
No interference or abuse of any health, safety and environmental welfare equipment
Keep work areas clean and free from hazards and risks
Make sure that cycle stock takes are created and completed as set out in the KPIs of the business.
Make sure that all exception stock takes are handled with the appropriate sense of urgency and that they are completed and authorised within the desired time frame.
To make sure that the fixed locations contain the correct products.
To make sure that all products in the warehouse in pick face locations have expiry dates that are within the allowance.
To make sure that all stock is moving according to the FIFO stock method.
To ensure that expiry reports are being pulled and that the expired stock is being handled appropriately.
To ensure that the stock close to expiry is being send out to avoid expiry in the warehouse.
To make sure that there are no ageing stock takes on the “Release & WIP” screen.
To make sure that there are no ageing stock takes on the “Authorise” screen and that large differences are investigated by management before accepting the counts.
To ensure that all the maintenance screens (Put Away Maintenance) in the inbound function are maintained and up to date daily.
To ensure that all the maintenance screens (Order Planning, Build Load, Load Planning, Picking Progress, Picking Job Query and WIP Screen) in the inbound function are maintained and up to date daily.
To ensure all products are maintained in the correct areas.
To ensure all fixed products are maintained in the correct locations.
To make sure that all relevant reports for the inventory function is being extracted and sent to the relevant management.
To make sure that all relevant reports for the inbound function is being extracted and sent to the relevant management.
To make sure that all relevant reports for the outbound function is being extracted and sent to the relevant management.
To make sure that all items as set out in the job description for inbound and outbound is being fulfilled by the responsible individuals

Grade 12
Relevant Tertiary Qualification will be an advantage
Computer Literacy
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Afrikaans & English
Knowledge/Skills:
Operational Agility
Ensure Vision, Mission and Values underpin all activities
Physical Demands Must be found medical fit by Occupational Medical Practitioner for job appointed for.
