It was founded in 2009 with an ethos of promoting physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. The school is a Cambridge Associate School, is registered with the Department of Education and also with the South African Council of Educators.
**Job Title: School Principal**
**Location: Halfway House, Midrand**
**Reports to: School Council**
**Job Summary**:
Responsible for the leadership, direction, training, and operational management of the college. Provides strategic expertise and guidance on a broad cross section of teaching and learning functions. This role accomplishes goals through overseeing areas of responsibility, planning, managing resources, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of staff.
**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor of Education Degree.
- Education Management Qualification will be advantageous.
- Registration with South African Council of Educators.
**Minimum Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Must be able to demonstrate the values of integrity, respect, and collaboration.
- Chair and manage various internal committees.
- Develop and/review policies and management of quality control processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning material.
- Manage the development of the extra-curricular activities.
- Create benchmarks for students and teachers and track progress.
- Establish curriculum guidelines.
- Conduct academic planning.
- Manage the setting up of exam timetables, cross moderation timetables and invigilation timetables.
- Implementing and maintaining key internal controls to manage risk within the college.
- Ensuring strict adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Develop programs that improve teacher performance.
- Develop and administer the general school routine and coordinate all activities within the school.
- Maintain a standard of learner behavior and minimize school and classroom interruptions.
- Drive growth in enrolment process and debtors’ collections.
- Enforce discipline according to the school policies.
- Achieve academic and professional goals.
- Manage the annual budget, or grants.
- Manage the school’s assets.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant authorities.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are carried out.
- Manage quality control processes.
