**THE ROLE**
We are looking for a Technical Writer to write, update and maintain high-quality, user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical users of the Xceptor platform. Subjects could include core platform components and functions, industry products such as tax, API and extensions, and system administration.
You will also support other content initiatives which could include the creation of materials using the digital adoption platform (WalkMe) and creation of short-form how-to videos.
You will be very hands-on in the creation of content across various aspects of the Xceptor platform. You will appreciate the impact well-written content can have, and champion the user in your work.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create documentation to support new product releases and updates when features change
- Ensure all content adheres to common standards and legal, commercial, security and data protection needs
- Write documentation in Markdown and publish onto the Docs platform, and maintain the integrity of the information architecture to support a good user experience
- Participate in relevant team scrum meetings, sprint planning and sprint reviews
- Review and update existing documentation as part of Docs transformation projects
- Collaborate with enablement team colleagues to create single-sourcing opportunities for content
- Support initiatives to re-architect the documentation platform
- Create walkthroughs using the digital adoption platform
- Create short 'how-to' videos to accompany the written content
- Pro-actively identify gaps in content and prioritises updates accordingly

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Technical writing in an Agile software development environment
- Software development lifecycle
- Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken
- Enthusiasm for learning about Xceptor and using knowledge to provide a high-quality content service to users
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Working knowledge of Markdown language or similar authoring protocols
- Critical thinking
- Strong research, information gathering, project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous documents
- Methodical with strong attention to detail
- Target and results-driven
- Adaptable with the ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
- Beneficial - Camtasia or other video creation software
- Beneficial - WalkMe or other digital adoption platform software

**EXPERIENCE**
- Experience in Financial Services and/or Fintech is beneficial
- Experience creating digital content including video tutorials using Camtasia (or similar) and digital adoption platform walkthroughs using WalkMe (or similar), an advantage
