Cape Town, South Africa SFG ENGINEERING SERVICES (PTY) LTD Full time

**Job Requirements**:

- Qualified Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic with extensive experience on high & medium speed as well as two stroke engines and generators pumps, filters, radiators & coolers
- Clear criminal record
- Preferably have own tools
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of the marine industry would be a distinctive advantage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervision and guidance of technicians & service engineers to perform service & repairs in the workshop & on-site according to manufacturer’s specifications
- Plan, organize, direct and perform maintenance, repair and overhaul on high & medium speed as well as two stroke engines and generators, pumps, filters, radiators & coolers
- Ensure the highest standard of housekeeping in the workshop and tool store
- Define customer needs and requirements
- Ensure that company vehicles are in a good state of repair and well maintained at all times
- Management of service staff timesheets to ensure accuracy and liaison with technical sales administrators regarding job cards
- Responsible for ensuring that all inspection registers are up to date at all times
- Demonstrate good diagnostic & trouble shooting abilities. Work with service staff to solve problems, meet deadlines and deliver customer service excellence
- Drive and display the highest health & safety standards in the workplace and on site
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the workplace including training and development of staff together with Human Resources
