**Overall purpose of the role**:

- Execute Regulatory/Security requirements: Ensures adoption of Client Data Policies and Standards; responsible for Client Data Quality Management; and responsible for User Access Management.
- Execute Business Requirements: Monitor and manage the processes/people/system in adhering to all the requirements of personal detail.
- Reports to the BSS Business Data Steward.
- Member of the Data Working group who oversee data quality in Retail Business.

Assist in specifying complex business rules using the specified toolsets to enable the data modelers to create complex analytical models. Hence, they need to understand and continuously seek to build knowledge of data and information.
An understanding of data management solutions and a keen sense of the strategic value of information to an organisation will be of importance.

Data Management
Guided by Business Data Stewards and use a variety of data tools and analysis methods.
Responsible to manage client data that is needed for business processes, technology, business intelligence and reporting.
Monitor and report on POPIA.

Data Quality
Guides and supports Operational Management, Project or Business Analyst.
Works within business to resolve data issues and maintain strong relationships with IT stakeholders as partners.
Proactively identifies data quality trends and improvement opportunities through quality evaluations and measurement and feedback and improvement
Coordinates specific business data requirements.
Helps to enforce business rules related to the data that is in use.
Frequently reviews the data quality exception reports. Responsible for ensuring that data is of the correct quality and fit for purpose and report quality of data to the Data Working Group. - Quality evaluation.

Master Data Management
Advocate the Client Master Data approach in the Business.
Contribute to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by continuously identifying Master Data Management service delivery improvement opportunities.
Responsible to utilise Group Information Management tools to automate Client Master data Management processes.
Contribute to ensure that the correct level of controls are built into the Client Master Data processes to ensure data integrity, data correctness and data completeness.
Responsible to formulate general management reports for Business Shared Services management.
Responsible to facilitate the creation of training material and make provision for the training of end users and Client Master Data Operations people.

Stakeholder Engagement
Work directly with management and other business users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
Present information using data visualisation techniques.
Lead facilitation requirements gathering workshops with the business.
Lead collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to analyse information needs, functional requirements and business processes.

- SGT - Data Quality, and Master Data Management
- Business Quality teams

Coaching/Mentorship
Provides problem solving assistance to Operational Data Stewards, Technical Data Stewards other team members.
Coach and assist other Operational Data Stewards, Technical Data Stewards team members. What will make you successful in this role?

Main Output

**Quality evaluation of data**: Capture of new data and changes of existing data.
Frequently reviews the data quality exception reports.
Involve in initiatives to improve quality - identify opportunities - analysing the Data trends.
Involve in DQ projects.

Compulsory data according to regulations
Data according to business requirements
Quality of training manuals.
Admin of Data User Management.
Working together with Business Analyst.
Handle data related requests.
Involvement in POPIA.

**Skills**:Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
Strong analytical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
