**Job Advert Summary**:
The Specialist SAP role is responsible for creating and maintaining the SAP System and providing access to all stakeholders. The role provides end-to-end support, configuration, performance tuning, maintenance, and upgrades to the system. The role also creates an integration of the SAP system with all other systems.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**6 years experience in**:

- Technical SAP
- Installation of new systems and upgrades

**Education**
- Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6)
- SAP Basis will be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**SAP Administration**
- Provide input and support during the development of the IT strategy
- Responsible for architecture and guidance on the SAP NetWeaver platform and Cloud system
- Monitor and set up the SAP system
- Monitor IT projects delivery in line with agreed user requirements
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, and performance tuning of the SAP system
- Monitor systems reliability and uptime by checking on capacity, availability, and forward planning
- Monitor adherence systems support service level agreements (MTTR & MMTI)
- Conduct systems health checks for proactive management of errors and failures
- Provide system backup

**Compliance and Reporting**
- Responsible for developing SAP-related procedures and documentation for end users
- Provide support to users and promote good governance by monitoring adherence to policy and practice
- Provide support and respond to queries during internal and external audits
- Perform audits and tests of the disaster recovery plan
- Compile reports and submit them to relevant committees

**Stakeholder Management**
- Liaise with external suppliers and consultants
- Communicate with stakeholders and provide them with system-related updates
- Provide escalation support to suppliers on behalf of stakeholders
- Coach and support the technical team in terms of priorities for the job function

**Knowledge**:

- ITIL Certified Foundation
- Project Management Methodology
- Technology Networks and Security practice
