**The role**

The Head of Infrastructure and Security is responsible for the implementation of all Infrastructure technology and Security for the Titan Group which includes network services, telephony, user support/help desk, cyber security, servers, storage and related software. Reporting to the IT Operations Director. for the Titan Group.


**Job responsibilities**
- Being a driven, collaborative, analytical and strategic thought leader. Experienced in driving IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity strategies, operating models and roadmaps as part of the holistic company technology strategy.
- Being responsible for the implementation of an IT disaster recovery and business continuity plan for the company IT systems.
- Delivering on monthly MI and quarterly roadmaps based on tracked velocity, keeping oversight of all infrastructure roadmap projects; working transparently and engaging proactively.
- Keeping up to date with technology trends and developments and making recommendations to improve services and standards.
- Performing cost-benefit analysis for proposed systems and presenting well considered decisions on solutions.
- Ensuring optimal operation of all ICT hardware (incl networks, telephony) and platforms, relating to physical offices, meeting rooms and virtual environments.
- Managing an IT team to support the group (and clients) proactively using the ITIL framework.
- Implementing an enterprise-wide information security plan that effectively protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers;
- Monitoring security compliance as it relates to any changes in legislation
- Serving as the IT Security Officer, implementing appropriate tools to support the information security management policy
- Establishing efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure to support the group to scale.
- Negotiating with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to secure cost-effective and fit for purpose infrastructure products and services, and review regularly against the market
- Managing team capacity, progression planning, staff welfare/morale and providing direction and mentorship.
- Managing IT budgets and IT assets (tracking), accountable for optimal licence use (with regular review), critical thought applied to all IT procurement across the group.
- Responding to audit requests as required.
- Integrating business technology post M&A acquisition, including complex systems landscapes. To include the creation of a systems architecture to simplify future integrations. Delivery of due diligence reporting and take-on plan, then sharing post-acquisition progress proactively.
- Reporting regularly on all the above, producing presentations as required, highlighting obstacles, risks and building strong internal relationships with Operations and DevOps teams, developing inter-department strategies and executing shared projects.

**Requirements**:

- University degree or college diploma required, preferably in the field of engineering, computer science or other related academic field.
- 5+ years’ experience of managing teams in a different location
- Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Solid experience of IT budgeting/strategy.
- Conversant with programming languages such as.Net,IIS, SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and so on.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft server platforms
Expert knowledge of Microsoft active directory - DNS, DHCP, DFS
- Cisco experience
- Cloud experience and any integrations experience
- Excellent knowledge of security and security devices
