**Overview and Key Responsibilities**

the company’s current regional customer base. The Sales Engineer will function in the following key areas of responsibility for this role which include but are
not limited to:
1. Growing company sales through prospecting for new clients in line with set sales targets;
2. Responsible for customer satisfaction and being customer steward;
3. Growing Air Products’ market presence through various marketing initiatives;
4. Ensuring adherence to company SHERQ procedures and policies, (including relevant legislation) at customer sites and play an active role in the management of the existing safety programs;
5. Carrying-out sales administrative duties and any general ad hoc duties;
6. Responsible for business and personal development within the sales environment.

**Essential Requirements**
1. Grade 12 with Maths, Accounting, Science, English and Afrikaans;
2. Recognised Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Sales & Marketing and /or Engineering sales background;
3. Minimum 5 years sales experience in gas / chemical/technical or related industry;
4. A valid unendorsed code 8 driver’s licence;
5. Computer literate in MS Office;
6. Ability to produce written reports on sales activities and good communication skills (verbal & written);
7. Must have good people and negotiating skills and understand customer centric service;
8. Able and willing to travel and overnight stay over;

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
