PROJECT MANAGER - (FIXED THREE YEAR TERM CONTRACT)

**Job Description**:
Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of Blue Valley Golf and Country Estate projects from start to finish. Working with a variety of stakeholders, including developers, architects, contractors, and property owners to ensure that each project meets its intended goals and objectives, on time and within budget.

The Project Manager’s responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all areas of project management including planning, cost and time management, quality management contract administration and safety management.

The role will be required to ensure that the projects are technically sound, that all activities associated with managing the project workflow and performance are met and to provide the necessary management and leadership skills to ensure the project team deliver.

Duties & Responsibilities The Project Manager manages key projects. Project management responsibilities includes inter alia - Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. - Scheduling of individual projects. - Allocation of roles and responsibilities based on the requirements of the project to ensure flawless execution of projects. - Co-ordinate the various discipline consultants as part of the project team. - Monitor and summarize progress of projects. - Prepare reports for the BVHOA Board regarding the status of projects. - Assist in the defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical and financial feasibility. - Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Ensure design for operability, maintainability and efficiency. - Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. - Manage changes and measure project performance including scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification tools and techniques. - Report and escalate to management and BVHOA Board as and when required and within pre agreed timelines. - Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. - Uses estimating techniques and develops project risk management approaches. - Manage the performance of the service providers (contractors, consultants and/or suppliers) appointed by the Estate - Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including, project plans which can be shared with all stakeholders, ensuing transparency and ethical management. - Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals. - Meet budgetary objectives and to make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Supervise and ensure the execution of projects in adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and service delivery standards.
- Ensure Safety Health Environment (SHE) compliance during project life-cycle.
- Undertake a full evaluation of projects upon completion, identifying areas for improvement, cost savings and key learnings.
- Develop Terms of Reference (procurement documents) for the appointment of the contractors and consultants
- Managing project delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Pro-actively manage changes in scope, project risk and diverse contingency plans
- Compliance with Project Management Governance
- Act as an interface between project teams and operational teams.
- Achieves goals in a timely manner, despite obstacles encountered, by organising, reprioritising and re-planning

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements
- A four-year Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or relevant experience
- Project Management certificate/certification an advantage
- More than 5 years' experience in construction projects/built environment as a project manager.
- Extensive experience in managing project resources including financial budgets, people, etc
- Proven track record in managing various construction projects in multiple sectors including water, sanitation, roads, stormwater and/or electricity.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, guidelines, and/or policies
- Demonstrable experience in the preparation of procurement documents (Terms of Reference, contract agreement, etc.) for contractors and Consultants
