- Closing Date- 22/9/2024- Description**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Curriculum Studies and/or Higher Education modules.
- Participate in the faculty's Work Integrated Learning programme (Teaching Practice).
- Ensure active involvement in faculty research activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development in Curriculum Studies specifically and Education generally.
- Supervise and provide consultation sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Work in a team with colleagues within the faculty.
- Contribute to leadership and administrative tasks related to the faculty.

**Inherent requirements**:

- A relevant Doctoral degree in Curriculum Studies on NQF Level 10 with a focus on assessment research (for a permanent appointment)

**or**
- A relevant master’s degree in Curriculum Studies on NQF Level 9 with a focus on assessment research (contract appointment: five years during which a relevant doctoral degree in Curriculum Studies on NQF Level 10 with a focus on assessment research MUST be obtained to be converted to a permanent position).
- A formal teaching qualification (e.g. Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent).
- A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience in a school environment or at least two (2) years in a higher education or research and development environment.
- Proven experience delivering poster or oral presentations at academic conferences or equivalent.
- Provide evidence of manuscript (s) produced that have the potential to be converted or submitted for publication, ideally in an accredited journal.

**Recommendations**:

- A proven research record of relevant publications in national or international Q1-Q4 accredited journals,
- Experience in postgraduate supervision.

- Proof of registration with a Professional Body (if applicable).
- A copy of your driver’s license (if applicable).
- Confirmation of employment from current employer / last employer if unemployed (only applicable to external applicants).
