This position will report to the Regional Network Manager and will be based in the Central Region (Tshwane)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Program Manager will be responsible to manage the quality of programs, systems and processes as well as the quality of the execution of them in the Region. This individual will be responsible to improve performance, efficiency and effectiveness of programs, systems and processes.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
**Leadership**:

- Lead and manage a team.
- Manage team performance.
- Clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to team members and supply employees with the resources required to perform.
- Adhere to and re-enforce the company policies, procedures and practices at all times.
- Support, motivate and give feedback to the team.
- Grow and develop team members and encourage team members to do training as and when required.
- Onboard new recruits effective and efficiently.
- Live and promote the Herotel values and culture.

**Collaboration**:

- Facilitate cross functional programs and/or projects within Networks, as well as Commercial and Growth.
- Assist RNM and 2IC with the discharging of their duties.
- Coordinate the development programs to support the tactical direction of Networks in the Region.
- Assist the RNM and his team to develop an operational plan focused on achieving the tactical goals for the region.
- Where necessary establish programs, introduce systems and create processes under the guidance of the RNM and his/her Management team.
- Lead various teams with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.

**Day-to-day**:

- Do all program and project planning, organising, activation and control.
- Develop and improve an evaluation method to assess the quality of programs, systems and processes, identifying strengths, risks and weaknesses in order to improve.
- Oversee the execution of programs, while reporting on the successes, risks and weaknesses progress towards achieving tactical goals.
- Continuously assess the progress of programs.
- Utilise the knowledge obtained from programs, systems and processes to identify any unnecessary duplication of work and to set the best course of action to remedy it if necessary.
- Ensure that the Network Teams are informed of all relevant SOP's and while continuously monitoring through programs, systems and processes that they comply with it.
- Continuously assess quality of systems and/or processes and the progress of programs processes.

**Reporting**:
Report regularly on the following:

- Progress toward achieving tactical goals.
- Progress of programs.
- Compliance/Quality and efficiency levels at which programs are executed.
- Effectiveness of systems, highlighting challenges to be escalated.
- Compliance levels to processes.
- Efficiency and effectiveness of processes risks and/or challenges identified.
- Collate monthly performance reports according to KPI's.
- Communicate and report verbally and in writing to other team members and Management.
- Produce monthly reports of activities.

**Adhoc**:

- Any adhoc tasks as required by their Manager (reporting, admin or personal assistant tasks).
- Ensure that all non-day to day challenges, issues or tasks are taken and addressed.
- 2 to 4 years of industry experience will be required.
- Driver's license.
- Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.
- Good understanding of the wider objectives of programs within Networks.
- Ability to collaborate with the wide range of individuals involved in Program Management.
- Have strong leadership and management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Technically and administratively inclined, with a strong focus on processes.
- Able to prioritise tasks according to their importance/urgency.
- Should be able to reason analytically when trying to identify weaknesses, risks and challenges, while also being creative in finding innovative solutions.
- Should be able to track these remedial actions efficiently.
- Should be able to plan, track, and report on outputs and outcomes.
- Should be able to identify and manage cross-project interdependencies and should be able to consult Commercial and Growth Departments on projects and programs if Network is directly impacted.
- Good knowledge of efficient and effective resource allocations, including staff, vehicles, tools and stock.
- Must have experience with regards to the relevant planning methodologies, tools and software.
- Must be able to interpret strategy into tactics.
- Be capable of a hands-on approach in leading various teams through various processes by means of case studies and/or demonstration, with the ability to put theory in practice.
- Must be able to drive daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
