The position is responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves coordinating and leading project teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Engineering Manager also plays a key role in liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Business, Project Management or related Degree.
- Essential PMP/ AGILE/ equivalent qualification Essential
- Lean qualification Desirable
- Professional Project Management qualification Essential
- Packaging or Graphic Design Diploma Essential
- LEAN Six Sigma Desirable

**Experience Requirements**:

- Project Management Experience 2 - 3 years Essential
- FMCG supply chain/ product manufacturing / packaging experience 4 - 5 years Essential
- FMCG environment with integrated supply chain 3 - 5 years Essential
- Project / CI experience 2 -3 years Essential
- Packaging technologist experience 5 - 7 years Essential
- Printing experience 2-3 years Essential
- Innovation and NPD project experience 2 - 3 years Desirable

**Key Outputs**:

- To ensure project execution and continuous improvement by providing guidance on project process, standards and requirements for own and other projects as and when required.
- To ensure OTIF delivery of agreed projects through engaging, building and maintaining good stakeholder relationships inside and outside the organisation.
- To ensure effective resource allocation and coordination of project team through creation of SOP’s and RACI matrix’s per project for internal and external resources, 3rd party suppliers and or manufacturers.
- To ensure accurate project management information reporting and project repository by:

- maintaining and improving data on the project management online system
- ensuring document control
- performing workflow approvals
- timeline creation and adjustments
- training and enablement of project leaders to utilize the system
- performing essential data and knowledge management of the systems data
- To assist with the identification and analysis of viable projects for the selected product categories in the Premier portfolio.
- To support successful execution of all projects by providing project and program leadership through consultation with stakeholders to:

- agree project relevancy and success indicators to the business strategy
- agree portfolio priorities in line with agreed financial, capability, scalability and complexity parameters
- development and implementation governed processes
- creation of functional competencies
- managing the portfolio realization by identifying and resolving project hurdles
- tracking and reporting project realization against agreed business case and success indicators
- Lead and manage engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring that all project objectives are met.
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources requirements.
- Coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to ensure that project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are understood and met.
- Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and resources to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
