**REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric with relevant qualification
- Minimum 10 yrs exp in the Social Development field with extensive knowledge & insight
- High level of understanding of PUBLIC SAFETY, SECURITY, URBAN MANAGEMENT & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
- Understanding of Local Government structures and processes, public liability and legal environment, including relevant by-laws
- Business, Commercial and Financial Management competencies and experience
- Ability to think and act strategically and systemically, whilst managing operationally
- Understanding of Social Services Code of Conduct and Ethics
- People/HR Management experience & skills
- Experience in the Humanities and SD rights field
- Stakeholder Management skills with ability to network, build and sustain strategic alliances
- Ability to influence and onboard key stakeholders & alliances

**DUTIES**
- Lead an integrated and systemic Social Development strategy that supports the Business Strategies
- Liaising with relevant Regulatory & Government bodies as required ensuring compliance to the relevant Human & Social Legislation and risks are minimized and mitigated
- Advocate & lobby for support and to by laws and the legal framework
- Provide Professional Supervision and counselling for SD workers on the ground
- Ensure the performance and production of the SD team is optimised implementing the appropriate structures and role clarity for goals
- Provide guidance for professional development of social and field workers etc.
- Facilitate effective beneficial relationships between their organisation, Provincial, State and NGO structures and institutions
- Develop, facilitate and implement services which contribute to a healthier human rights society
- Continuously develop, introduce new programmes and services to enhance services
- Negotiate and proactively manage relationships with strategic alliance partners
- Ensure ongoing engagement, communication and education with projects & programmes with stakeholders
- Manage administration processes and budget within mandate and financial parameters as agreed
- Manage reports to keep key stakeholders informed, provide feedback on new initiatives, interventions, projects aimed at crime deterrence, containment or minimization
- Monitor, analyse, respond to stakeholders and incidents
