Senior Hostess

**_Our client a well-established wine estate is urgently looking to employ a Senior Hostess at their organization_**

**_Location:_**:

- Stellenbosch_

**_Requirements:_**
- Matric/ hospitality certificate will be a plus_
- _ Preferably 4 years of previous hostess experience_
- _ Understanding of restaurant etiquette_
- _ Fluent in English_
- _ Experience in managing reservations_
- _ Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends)_
- _ Must be vaccinated_

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- _ Welcome guests to the venue_
- _ Ensure one hostess is handling the reservations book, while the other hostess welcomes the guests_
- _ Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas_
- _ Provide menus and announce the Waiter/waitress's name_
- _ Create a floor plan for both lunch and dinner_
- _ Check with the senior chef on duty if there are any changes to the lunch/dinner menus_
- _ Change the menus from dinner to lunch and vice versa (depending on shift)_
- _ Create a list of available tables for lunch_
- _ Create a handover sheet for the next shift/go through the handover sheet of the previous shift_
- _ Greet guests upon their departure_
- _ Maintain hostess desk clean and tidy_
- _ Answer incoming calls and address guests queries_
- _ Be well informed on the estate and local info_
- _ Communicate to managers and waiters regarding VIP visits as soon as they are seated_
- _ Be familiar with the reservation policies, such as booking times, etc._
