Our Global Pharmaceutical and Service client based in Centurion is looking for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join their dynamic team

**_This role will be responsible for supporting the Global HR Team _**
**_to develop and implement a compensation and benefits _**
**_strategy that enhances employee attraction and retention. The role is responsible for the management, administration _**
**_and promotion of employee compensation and benefits in all _**
**_geographic locations_**

**Minimum requirements**:

- Global Experience in Compensation and Benefits
- UK Benefits Experience essential
- Must have worked in a similar role within the Pharmaceutical or Logistics Industries (Preferable)
- Trained in Hay Group (or equivalent) Job Evaluation Process
- **Experience of**:

- Working autonomously in a 'hands on' role
- Managing external relationships with benefit providers and intermediaries
- Performance related pay, total reward statements and flexible benefits
- Development and implementation of new compensation & benefits initiatives
- Working with and reporting on financial information
- Managing employee share schemes (highly desirable)
- Managing or supporting pensions auto enrolment (desirable)
- Maintains up to date knowledge of external trends and developments in the labor market
- Strong IT skills (MS office including excel essential; experience of the Darwin Benefits Platform and
PeopleHR highly desirable)
- Full, part or working towards a nationally recognized professional HR qualification
- Flexible with travel

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Internal**:

- Develop and manage compensation and benefits policies and procedures to provide flexibility
while maintaining internal equity and external competitiveness
- Develop specifications to obtain uniform benefit offerings based on geographic customs
- **Manage and administer**:

- Coordination of the annual cost of living salary review.
- coordination of the annual discretionary bonus scheme
- Employee plans including pension, medical, life insurance and other relevant geographical
benefits
- Online employee discount portal, where applicable
- Annual Gender Pay analysis
- **Develop proposals for the introduction of**:

- Job role evaluation and grading
- Performance related pay
- Total reward statements
- Flexible benefits program
- Support the business to introduce a sales commission plan for Business Development roles
- Work with intermediary partners to coordinate the UK pensions auto enrolment process
- Provide internal advice on pay decisions, policy interpretation and job evaluation
- Train line managers in compensation systems
- Track cost of benefits against budget and develop cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to the company and the employee
- Support the HR Team with other projects and employee relations activity as necessary
- **External**:

- Monitor the global job market and trends in compensation and benefits
- Survey industry and community to determine company’s competitive position and understand how
to maximize attraction to the external talent pipeline
- Participate in and conduct salary surveys to ensure company compensation objectives are
achieved
- Negotiate new benefit contracts yearly and handle the bidding process
- Manage relationships with intermediary partners and benefit providers
