We are recruiting for leading FMCG Company based in Sandton and we are currently seeking a talented and driven Internal Audit Data Analyst to join their team. As an Internal Audit Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the internal audit function by providing insightful analysis of data to identify trends and patterns, and drive effective decision-making. We are looking for an energetic, out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about data analysis and has a strong desire to contribute to the success of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyse large data sets from various sources to support internal audit objectives
- Interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and create reports that provide insights to support potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal audit team and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify areas for improvement
- Provide support for data-driven audit planning, testing, and monitoring activities
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Maintain documentation on data sources, methodologies, and analytical techniques
- Develop and implement data analytics procedures to support continuous monitoring and risk assessment activities.
- Assist in the development and execution of the annual audit plan, including risk assessment, audit scope, and data-driven audit strategies.
- Communicate data-driven insights, findings, and recommendations to management and stakeholders through clear and concise written and verbal reports.
- Support internal auditors in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements by providing data-driven insights and analysis.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and track progress in addressing identified weaknesses and deficiencies using data-driven techniques.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in internal auditing, data analytics, and financial reporting.
- Participate in special projects, investigations, and process improvement initiatives as required.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, internal auditing, or a similar role.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or related field
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Excel)
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with internal audit concepts, standards, and methodologies, risk management practices, and financial reporting regulations is highly desirable. Certifications such as CIA, CISA are a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights.
- A proactive and self-driven approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on delivering results. Vehicle and valid drivers licence.
