**Role Purpose**

To assist the operational risk community with ownership, guidance and implementation of the Operational Risk policy and associated requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Business degree (Commerce Business Management, BComm, BSc degree).
- Business related postgraduate qualification (preferred).
- A risk management qualification would be advantageous.
- At least 5 to 8 years of financial services or Health industry working experience.
- Experience in an operational risk function or in internal audit within the health industry is essential.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Own and maintain the Momentum Metropolitan Operational risk policy to ensure Momentum Metropolitan Health operates within the regulatory ambit and within the risk appetite measures set.
- Develop and maintain the overall risk strategy, risk attitude and risk appetite framework with clear escalation procedures for Operational risk.
- Consolidate, highlight and report areas of potential high-risk exposure based on risk appetite per business.
- Keep abreast of best practices internal and external and influence the ORM.
- Manage the master data framework to ensure information is mapped correctly to the different geographies, licenses and legal entities.
- Ensure appropriate content ownership and approval processes for the Momentum Metropolitan operational risk Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) solution.
- Convene the Momentum Metropolitan Health Operational risk committee quarterly and ensure the appropriate meeting pack collation.
- Administer the monthly Operational risk leadership forum to measure the effectiveness of risk measure and create a community of practice.
- Own the overall Operational risk work plan stipulating the planned objectives for the year and measure the work activities accordingly.
- Consolidate and highlight areas of material exposure or potential exposure for the monthly ORM report and the quarterly Operational risk report.
- Assess and report on emerging risks from the monthly ORM flash report.
- Own the Momentum Metropolitan Business continuity policy and crisis management guideline.
- Ensure appropriate implementation and oversight of the policy.
- Provide segment resource support for segment specific Operational risk requirements as and when required. Ensure appropriate coverage and prioritisation of these resources.
- Provide Operational risk expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
- Contribute to a client service excellence culture which builds enduring relationships and allows team to provide exceptional client service.
- Incorporate client feedback into the enhancement of daily business processes and management operating systems.
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
