**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- To operate the corporate centre control room and monitor the corporate centre for any potential risk related incidents.
- To coordinate and supervise the activities of own/contracted security officers during the shift. Ensure that resources are utilised correctly. Liaise with departments regarding schedules, material supplies and ensure that targets are achieved within set budget. Applies business controls and risk management policies and procedures.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)
- Private Security Ind Regulatory Aut GR B (Essential/Minimum)

**EXPERIENCE**:
3 years Relevant experience in security environment (Essential/Minimum) Operational

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Private Security Industry Regulatory Aut (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
- Appointment: Commissioner of Oath (Essential/Minimum)
- Alcohol level Test Equip. blower & SD400 (Essential/Minimum)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Access Control**
- Ensure applicable Standard Operating Instructions (SPI’s) are followed
- Ensure quality on occurrences
- registered on site
- Ensure proper key control
- Control temporary permit (e.g. underage visitor permits)
- Issue access cards as required, authorise storerooms access, retrieve access control movements
- Authorise property gate release on weekends and after hours when requested
- Receive and control confiscated/found articles

**Administration and Document Control**
- Ensure quality on all data captured and correct errors
- Ensure compliance to company/access control policy and procedures
- Update, implement, maintain and analyse documents and systems according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Certify official documents as Commissioner of Oaths

**Contractor Management**
- Ensure quality contracted security services against Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards
- Inspect security equipment leased by security contractor to Exxaro
- Give feedback to Risk Manager
- Communicate with clients/direct superior to share information on duties performed and new challenges

**Control Room Operations**
- Coordinate the control room operations
- Direct and coordinate the activities of groups on duty and maintenance activities
- Adhere to pre-shift process of control room activities and proceed with incidents in process
- Monitor alarms/surveillance systems and initiate reaction as per standard procedures

**Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management**
- Render professional customer support services
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders about the information on duties performed

**Safe and Healthy Work Environment**
- Maintain ensure a healthy environment and safe operations practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
- Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations

**Security Support**
- Responsible to oversee perimeter patrols
- Coordinate and control special incidents such as crime scene protocols, alarm signal actions, arrests, risk prevention actions and surveillance.
- Conduct security investigations
- Receive deliveries after hours and on weekends
- Provide security services for internal events including escorting of personnel
- Control the safe keeping and issuing of psychometric test machines as well as rentals cars for Matla and Grootegeluk projects and executive rentals
- Isolation of equipment during emergencies after hours (e.g., boom gates, water sprinklers and power supplies etc.)
- Conduct First-Aid and Fire Fighting afterhours and on weekends
