**Job Purpose**
- To facilitate and support the effective management of the Enterprise Wide and Operational Risk Frameworks in order to manage current and emerging risks to assist Nedbank Insurance in achieving its objectives.**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with and contribute to the production of the annual Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for Nedbank Insurance. Also provide input for the Group ICAAP submission.
- Assist with the production of annual and quarterly regulatory returns (QRTs)
- Own the Risk Self Control Assessment (RSCA) methodology for allocated Functional Area/ Processes within the Nedbank Insurance business.
- Collaborate with the broader business to develop and execute group wide strategic priorities.
- Drive the enhancement of the risk and control environment and culture.
- Deliver and strengthen ongoing risk and actuarial processes, oversight and value-add.
- Run with allocated projects such as ACC input, Risk and Audit Committee Submissions and Ownership of the Policy Matrix.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the value through interaction with team and stakeholders.
- Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g.; staff surveys, etc).
- Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
- Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.

**People Specification**
- Essential Qualification - NQF Level- **B.Degree in Actuarial Science / Quantitative Finance**:

- **Actual Exams progress: minimum of 4**
- Preferred Qualification- Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business Science (Actuarial, Quantitative Finance or Finance)- Essential Certifications- Relevant professional bodies (SAICA, CISA, IRMSA, EISA, SAIFM)
- Minimum Experience Level- 3 - 5 years in Financial Services e.g.; Insurance Risk experience. Operational riks experience will be an added advantage.- Relevant professional bodies
