**Position Overview - Covers Cape Town Trader/ Commercial Sales & Trading Manager**

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
**Purchasing**
- Capture supplier purchase orders on Axapta for SABIC, Qenos, Meraxis, Sasol, WAG, Samchem and IRPC.
- Open and maintain online files (One Drive) for new purchases and ensure that correct documentation is filed.
- Capturing of sales orders against purchase orders on L/C.
- CFR Shipments Beira, Durban, and Cape Town
- Liaison with suppliers when tracking documentation and follow up of shipment.
- Sending clearing instruction to and liaison with the clearing agent for CFR shipments (CPT and DBN).
- Liaison with customers or warehouses pre-arrival of containers
- SABIC Warehouse releases Durban
- Liaison with Sabic staff on warehouse release status.
- Instruction to warehouses to move new stock to Mer axis Warehouse Durban.
- Loading all SABIC purchase orders on eComm portal.
- Capture costings on purchase files.
- Capture GRV’s on Axapta for goods received into warehouse.
- Closing off of purchase file by capturing the purchase invoice on AX
- Handle queries from the finance department regarding costs and invoices.
- Updating Shipment Schedule 3 times weekly

**Sales**
- Capture customer orders on Axapta** **as well as transport orders where necessary.
- Send delivery instruction to transporters, warehouses.
- Liaison with transporters in Durban and Cape Town regarding timeous deliveries to customers.
- Liaison with warehouses in Durban and Cape Town regarding delays in deliveries.
- Handle queries from customers regarding deliveries.
- In Paul’s absence assist customer with pricing and order confirmations.

**Stock**
- Prepare documentation on Axapta and Excel for inter-city stock transfers.
- Ensuring stock balances for Cape Town trader’s files.
- Liaison with warehouses if there are stock discrepancies for trader’s files.
- Run stock report for Cape Town trader three times per week.
- Submit updated stock transfer schedules to accounting office as part of month end processing.

**Non-essential function**
- Contact customers for payments and authorize release of orders based on account status.
- Prepare monthly Overall Purchases report for FM.
- Prepare monthly Sales Reports for Cape Town Trader

**Essential skills required.**
- Computer skills - ERP system and MS Dynamics
- System - capturing costs.
- Spread sheets/ schedules.
