Corporate Communications Officer

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Maintain social media sites and events
Liaise with media and build and maintain relations with the media
Coordinate media events in conjunction with PR and Marketing
Design posters
Update and maintain political office database
Draft talking points, press releases, briefing notes, opinion editorials, responses, and inputs for media
Draft presentations and reports
Report during events in real time on social media platforms
Assist in the writing up of the annual report
Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested and required.
Relevant B- degree or equivalent (Public Relations, Communications, Journalism)
Code 8 or 10 driver’s licence with own vehicle
Computer literate (MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Report writing, Speech writing and presentation skills
Competent in interpretation, implementation and enforcement of relevant legislation and applicable policies
Strong understanding of political/organisational policy, procedures, surrounds and services.
Previous experience in a political office will be an added advantage.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
Project management and Financial Management skills
3-5 years relevant experience within the media liaison, research, communication and public relations field
