Stock Controller

CAREER OPPORTUNITY

POSITION: STOCK CONTROLLER SITE: WADEVILLE

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position serves as a controlling and planning execution role. The incumbent will perform duties related to the control of all raw material and consumables such as receiving from suppliers, stacking, and warehousing, issuing to production, receiving from production, cycle counting, stock taking.

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Controller

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock
- Evaluating vendors and suppliers offers and negotiating profitable purchase prices
- Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays
- Overseeing stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing and labelling
- Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock purchasing within budget
- Maintaining and updating daily shipment records and purchases and pricing reports
- Research and follow up on missing items

- Computer skills (MS Office and in house computer systems)

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12
- A tertiary qualification in stores or stock management or related function is essential.
- 1-2 years’ experience in stores with a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge DMS (Drumblade Maintenance and Safety) would be advantageous
