Requirements
- BSc (Civil Engineering) or B Tech (in Civil Engineering)
- A minimum of 6years’ relevant experience at an appropriate level.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in water demand management

is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of Project management experience.
- Knowledge of strategy and policy development
- Computer literacy
- Financial control and budget competencies
- A valid Code B driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas
- Implementation of Civil Engineering capital projects undertaken for

the purposes of Water Conservation and Water Demand

Management, varying in nature, scale, budget and reduction of

water usage
- Designing and input into the planning of Civil Engineering

infrastructure associated with Water Demand Management e.g.

pressure management, treated effluent etc.
- Managing the compilation, control and implementation of capital

and

operating budget of the district
- Providing Leadership, instil discipline, manage staff and

organization of the sub-section
- Managing the maintenance and control of all fixed and movable

assets of the Water Demand Management section City Wide
- Implementation of best Water Demand Management practices
- Input into various policies and by-laws including tariff policy, credit

control policy, Service Level Agreements and Water Services by
- laws to promote the objectives of Water Demand Management
- Participate in Auditing and reporting of progress on the

implementation of Water Demand Management Strategy
