The **Enterprise Development Assistant Manager **is responsible for fostering and collaboratively building resilient small business in V&A supply chain and ecosystem. They are required to provide input into and oversee the successful implementation of the overall Enterprise Development strategy. Key tasks include coordinating and overseeing a range of service providers delivering incubation and acceleration programs across the V&A Waterfront precinct; managing contracts; planning and managing projects; measuring and tracking performance; assisting with the management of budgets; as well as providing guidance and support to small business owners. This role requires a high degree of stakeholder engagement and relationship building and forms part of the team responsible for driving small business growth, managing SMME tenants on a daily basis, developing a pipeline of future tenants, and ensuring business resilience.

**Job Objectives**

**Strategic Input**
- Provide input into the formulation of the enterprise Development strategy with the Small Business Manager
- Formulate, prepare, and present proposals

**Project Management**
- Translate broad strategic goals into operational plans and objectives
- Collaboratively plan, implement, and oversee the implementation of projects and programmes related to Enterprise Development
- Contract management
- Set up metrics for success and performance manage service providers (SLA Management)
- Collaborate with Senior Managers from various internal BU's to create and enabling environment for and effectively manage SMME's
- Collaborate with Marketing BU to ensure effective internal and external communication and exposure

**Stakeholder Management**
- Stakeholder identification and engagement
- Identify and leverage mutually beneficial relationships and opportunities across the Business and Precinct
- Manage day to day interaction with beneficiaries while providing guidance and support to SMME's
- Actively network and facilitate meetings with various external parties (e.g. small business, city structures, advocacy groups etc.) as part of the V&A's cluster strategy
- Work closely with various internal departments as well as civil society stakeholders, tenants and service providers
- Act as interphase between V&A and SOLVE
- Guide, support, lead, and performance manage relevant team members
- Develop a high performing team by providing regular support and feedback

**Financial Management**
- Provide input into and actively manage the Enterprise Development budget
- Processing payments and managing relevant budgets with Small Business Manager
- Assist with ensuring meeting of financial targets
- Provide input into preparing, monitoring, and reporting on annual budgets
- Participate in monthly review and discussions

**Impact Management**
- Work closely with the M&E Manager to measure, track, and report on performance
- Prepare and present reports on enterprise development projects and programmes performance and impact
- As thought leader, share key learnings with a range of external stakeholders, working with SOLVE to collect data and share knowledge
- Formulate, prepare, and present project and Programme reports
- Monitor and evaluate impact of activities

**Administrative Duties**
- General administrative duties related to the role
- Market scanning and project-based research
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of various reports and submissions
- Monthly reporting

**Educational Requirements**
- Business Development or other relevant degree
- Project and Contracts Management as well as Policy Development would be advantageous
