Provisioning Clerk: Logistics

**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) competent individuals to integrate an effective and efficient management of Supply Chain Management services in the provisioning system. These posts are based in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
**Recommendation**:
Relevant experience.
**Key Performance Areas**:
Utilise the Logistical Information System (LOGIS) effectively for the provisioning functions: Act as Chief user clerk for section/completes requisition form; Support service functions; Complete payments on Basic Accounting System (BAS); Warehouse Management; Responsible for the safekeeping of store stock; Inventory Management; Assist with annual stock takes and spot checks; Electronic Purchasing system: Allocate reference numbers to all enquiries in register.
**Competencies**:
A good understanding of the following: Financial and procurement procedures; Accounting; Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Self-management; Concern for others; Diversity.
**Remuneration**:
R 176 310 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
