**Position Summary**
To partner operationally with the business to contribute to the accomplishment of the Company’s objectives through providing Line Managers and employees with HR guidance whilst maintaining accountability for the effective delivery of HR Services for Retail Operations.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support the HR Executive with the implementation of HR strategies.
- Manage Recruitment and Selection processes, assisting management with selection decisions and effectively managing partner relationships.
- Manage performance management interventions within Retail Operations., including performance reviews, performance coaching and counseling, advising line managers and employees throughout.
- Manage performance talent management and succession planning, making recommendations to address the business current and future needs for Retail Operations.
- Assist the HR Executive in identifying training needs and identifying suitable learning interventions.
- Oversee day to day remuneration issues, ensuring all information is submitted through to payroll timeously with regard to new appointments, salary increases, terminations etc.
- Manage and facilitate employee relations issues, ensuring correct execution of disciplinary, grievance and consultation procedures and sound advice to Line Management and employees in compliance with relevant legislation. Represent company at CCMA.
- Assist with onboarding, including induction and orientation programmes.
- Provide accurate and timeous HR Management information and reports as required.
- Ensure an effective HR Management Support Service is delivered to the region that meets the requirements of the business by constantly reviewing processes and practices, and obtaining feedback from the business.
- Timeous submission of employee documents to payroll on a monthly basis.
- To provide support with compiling the Employment Equity Report/Plan and ATR/WSP.
- To support with the implementation of BBBEE initiatives.
**Education & Experience Requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR/Industrial Psychology
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Generalist HR capacity
- Experience in a FMCG/Retail environment is essential

**Skills and Abilities**
- Solid understanding of local employment legislation and policies
- MS Office
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
- Reporting and Presentation skills
