Valcare, a non-profit company, is looking for a full-time social investment manager to join our team in Paarl, Western Cape.
The Social Investment Manager will be responsible for raising funds for Valcare through building strong and sustainable relationships with social investors. They will be responsible for managing all administrative, best practices and contractual requirements regarding funds, grants and donations.

**Key responsibilities**:
Establish, retain and build relationships with local and international social investors to increase funding for Valcare’s programmes and overall mission.
Conduct and manage fundraising initiatives and encourage investor visits to Valcare’s area of operations.
Assist in promoting the Valcare brand in public spaces and conferences to attract potential investors.
Investigate possible fundraising revenue streams and implement account strategies to meet investor trends and needs.
Establish and manage individual investor requirements with regards to funds, tax benefits, CSI, B-BBEE, media and reporting.
With the Grant Committee manage the selection of beneficiaries and distribution of funds to Valcare’s member organisations.
From time to time, manage other project initiatives or investor requests.

**Non-negotiables**:
A relevant undergraduate degree.
Five years’ experience and proven track record of fundraising.
Excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
Effective administrative, management, budgeting and planning skills.
Digital skills.
Agreement with Valcare’s core values.

**Advantageous**:
Membership of the Institute of Fundraising or similar body.
Experience in the social impact or non-profit sectors.

Interpersonal communication skills.
Pro-active, innovative and self-starter.
Proven time management skills.

**Employment conditions**:
**Salary**: Market-related, including expenses and travel allowances, to match experience and qualifications.

**Place of work**: Vuka Co-Working Space (1 New Street, Paarl, Western Cape).

**Travel**: Applicants must have their own vehicle and a valid South African drivers licence. Will be required to visit organisations and events regularly and must be prepared to travel provincially and nationally if necessary.
