**Job Specification**

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager: Brand & Communications the incumbent will play an integral part in implementing and monitoring the Group’s Social Media strategy and digital communications to increase our online presence and support our brand positioning, marketing and sales efforts. Part of a team that provides overall brand oversight, marketing and communication services to our network of retail stores and corporate offices countrywide.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree (Journalism and/or related Communications)
- 4 years related work experience of a variety of social media channels incorporating social media best practices
- Proven experience in copy writing, editing, and translation in both Afrikaans and English
- Excellent MS Office skills and proven track record in website management systems and metrics
- Photography / videography or design skills an additional plus

**Key performance indicators**

**Growth**
- Ability to execute in a diverse environment by building a deep understanding of the company's products and consumers to develop authentic narratives to various audiences
- Conducting audience research and audience targeting for effective campaigns

**Optimisation**
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of search engine optimization, online advertising, employee communications, PR, social media and community management in a digital setting
- Reporting on web traffic, social media metrics within a corporate setting

**Leveraging Culture & Diversity**
- Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
- Ability to project manage marketing communication projects with external agencies and internal customers

**Digital Transformation**
- Develop internal and external-facing content across a variety of platforms, especially, social media segments, to publicise the company's products, brands and achievements.
- Monitoring and advising on social media crises or customer and other online reputational issues
