Maintenance Planner

The main purpose of this position is to perform day-to-day planning, scheduling, coordination, issuing and following through on work orders within the Facilities Management Division of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Detailed Description
Prioritise tasks to be completed, in consultation with the Facilities Manager, and take responsibility for the execution thereof.
- Perform daily and weekly planning of work, including the sourcing of materials for work packages, and gather information for monthly reports.
- Perform daily capacity planning to optimise resources costs across the Facilities Management Division.
- Identify, plan and schedule various types of maintenance activities, such as corrective, breakdowns, predictive/condition-based maintenance as well as maintenance in respect of scheduled planned maintenance and operational projects.
- Draw, issue and follow up on backlog reports to ensure timeous information dissemination to relevant team leaders.
- Identify, purchase, update and manage spares/services inventory for work orders.
- Develop cost and time estimates for planned and corrective front-end maintenance work.
- Liaise with maintenance team leaders and the service desk to schedule resources to enhance productivity in all front-end maintenance-related activities.
- Manage and advise role players on the effective and standardised prioritisation of work.
- Keep records of key documentation of the maintenance activities and assist in configuration management as required for planning.
- Comply with the expected standards and procedures for the completion of front-end maintenance work.
Job Requirements
a National Diploma in Facilities Management or Maintenance Planning (S4) or a National Technical Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical); and
- a minimum of two to five years’ job-related experience as a Technical Maintenance Planner.

- team player.
