Assess processes, ergonomics, RM exposures
Liaise, assess occupational hygiene surveys
Monitor related implementation
Compile feedback to managers
Monitor (pain control/dressings), progress and liaise with injured employee/dept Manager
Monitor progress of WCA/COID cases including wages/salaries/HR/Manager & ISO controller liaison
Book doctors clinic for follow-ups
Finalize relevant cases including all supporting documentation (doctors, radiologists, physio's, emergency unit and COID support)
Maintain first aid kits by re-ordering, monitoring supplies, stock control, inter-departmental liaison
Record IOD's and initiate Isometrix investigations including MTC and COID cases
Plan and conduct drug testing on all site employees both Contractors and permanent
Record results, counsel and refer related cases for rehabilitation; liaise with managers and HR
Review drug rehabilitation programme every 4 months
Absenteeism - Check weekly sick certificates for key points
Identify, analyse and extract problems for follow up with employees
Perform sister's portion of medical, record and counsel on abnormalities and health needs
Refer all health related matters/monitor employee regularly and liaise with treating doctor accordingly until stable
Doctors medicals, assess, refer, examine, follow up problems, issue certificates of fitness
Liaise with HR on transfers, monitoring records on matrix/special needs/ problems arising from medicals
Provide Managers/Toyota Forklift with Medical Fitness Certificates
Monitor chronic cases, communicate, refer and liaise with HR, management re: special needs and prepare plan of action
Understand the value of the OHS vision and mission statements
Implement OH business plan in line with required measurements and targets
Ensure availability of emergency vehicles for transportation to casualty hospital
Systems are adhered to ie. relevant dates and signature are maintained
Medical files are properly archived for the required timeframe
Monthly report is submitted on time and contains the relevant information
Conduct annual budget reviews and six monthly review meetings
Identify related health trends and action plans are implemented accordingly
Agree and implement an individual performance scorecard with the National HR Executive
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Occupational Health Qualification
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in hospital based nursing
Experience in occupational health nursing
Caring and counselling experience
Good communication skills
Competent in MS Office packages, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
