Aside from saving clients’ money through power-outage protection, peak shaving, and waste heat recovery, we also reduce carbon emissions by displacing diesel and coal.

**Role Overview**:
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at SustainPower, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced engineering team and contribute to real-world projects. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable exposure to engineering principles and practices in a professional setting.

Regular interaction with fellow sales team members and colleagues from various departments— including engineering (or R&D), design, finance, business development, project management— alongside senior executives, is expected.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the design and development of electrical systems and components.
- Collaborating with engineers to perform testing, troubleshooting, and quality control of electrical systems.
- Conducting research and data analysis to support engineering projects.
- Assisting in the creation and review of electrical schematics, diagrams, and documentation.
- Participating in prototype development and testing, including the assembly and disassembly of electrical components.
- Supporting the implementation of safety protocols and standards in electrical engineering projects.
- Learning and using specialized software and tools related to electrical engineering tasks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with simulation tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC programming will be an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably another language such French, Portuguese, Swahili, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical software/tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Must have a strong academic record.
- Possess good work ethic with attention to details.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
