**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- To inspire a love for learning and for the world we live in, to adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.**SUPPORTING ROLES**
- Attendance at all formal school events as indicated by the Head of the College.
- Organisation of field trips or guest speakers and presenters as relates to the field of Mathematics.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Have a relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Be registered with SACE
- Have a strong connection with teenagers
- Have proven excellence in teaching Mathematics
- Be energetic and proactive
- Exhibit strong communication skills
- Enjoy supporting and contributing to the success of teams
- Live with high standards and seek consistent improvement over time.
- Have excellent administration skills and a ready attention to detail.
- (Preferably) have experience of teaching the IEB curriculum
- Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural (afternoon) programme.
- Be willing to organise / attend camps as per school requirements
- Be available for Regional and National conferences or other training as required
- Have experience or, or a willingness to join IEB marking and moderation panels.
